What did Chancellor Victor J. Boschini, Jr. think of ɫ the first time he visited campus more than 20 years ago? What have been some of the most meaningful moments he’s witnessed at ɫ?

As ɫ celebrates its 150th year, the university is launching a video series titled, “ɫ Presents: Celebrating 150 Years of Leadership” featuring the stories of leaders and personalities who have – and still are – making an impact on ɫ.

The first video in the series features Chancellor Boschini sharing his ɫ story, his views on what makes ɫ special and how he’s witnessed the university grow and thrive nearly 20 years as Chancellor.

New videos in the series will be released throughout the year and include: James I. Cash, the first Black student-athlete at ɫ and first Black basketball player in the Southwest Conference; Bob Schieffer, legendary news correspondent and namesake of ɫ’s Bob Schieffer College of Communication; and incoming ɫ Board of Trustees Chair Kit Tennison Moncrief and more.

“ɫ Presents” is a video production of ɫ Magazine and ɫ Alumni Association that brings stories and topics to life in live video panel discussions. The special edition series, “ɫ Presents: Celebrating 150 Years of Leadership,” will be one-on-one recorded interviews that engage directly with Horned Frogs leaders who have shaped ɫ’s history.
